The Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Locarno 2024 goes to "Akiplėša" (Toxic), directed by Saulė Bliuvajtė from Lithuania. The film also won the Golden Leopard and the Swatch Foirst Feature Award.

2023 in Locarno INTERFILM and SIGNIS celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first Ecumenical Jury. On this occasion, István Szabó received an Honorary Award.

At the 75th Locarno Film Festival, the prizes were awarded. The Ecumenical Jury awarded its prize to "The Tale of the Purple House" by Abbas Fahdel and a Commendation to "Tengo sueños eléctricos" by Valentina Maurel.

The Swiss film "Soul of a Beast" by Lorenz Merz won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at Locarno 2021. The Golden Leopard went to the Philippine competition entry "Vengeance is Mine, All Others Pay Cash" by Edwin.

Under the motto: "For the Future of Films" the Locarno 2020 Film Festival took place partly on site, partly online.

The Ecumenical Jury in Locarno 2019 awarded its prize to "Maternal" by Maura Delpero. The Golden Leopard went to "Vitalina Valera" by Pedro Costa.

The Ecumenical Jury at the 71st Locarno Festival awarded its Prize to "Sibel", directed by Guillaume Giovanetti und Çağla Zencirci. The Golden Leopard awarded by the international festival jury went to "A Land Imagined", directed by Yeo Siew Hua from Singapore.

At the 70th Festival Locarno the awards have been decided. The Ecumenical Jury awarded its Prize to the American competition entry "Lucky" by John Carroll Lynch.

"Godless" by Bulgarian director Ralitza Petrova won the Golden Leopard, as well as the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury.

Jigeumeun matgo geuttaeneun teullida (Right Now, Wrong Then) by Hong Sang-soo, South Corea, is the winner of the Golden Leopard of the Film Festival Locarno 2015. The Ecumenical Jury awarded a Commendation to the film, giving its main prize to Ma dar behesht (Paradise) by Sina Ataeian Dena from Iran.

The film festival at the Lago Maggiore in Switzerland, since 2013 headed by artistic director Carlo Chatrian, cherishes especially aesthetic innovations. Consequently, the Golden Leopard went to "From What Is Before" by Lav Diaz from the Philippines. The Ecumenical Jury awarded "The Fool" by Russian director Yuri Bykov.

Locarno 2005 was particularly important for INTERFILM. The organization, founded in Paris in 1955, celebrated its 50th anniversary there.

"Yasmin" by Kenny Glenaan won the Ecumenical Jury Prize in Locarno 2004. The Golden Leopard went to "Private" by Saverio Costanzo, who also received a Commendation from the Ecumenical Jury.
