Juliane Ebner is a German artist and filmmaker. Born in Stralsund, she studied church music at the Hochschule Dresden, followed by free art at the Art Academy Kiel. She is mother of three children and lives and works in Berlin and Rügen. Her countless works have been shown and honoured multiple times both nationally and internationally. For her films Ebner was honoured with the German Short Film Award, the Animation Award of the Indian World Film Festival and other international awards. She was nominated for the best experimental movie at the Hollywood International Golden Age Festival 2021.

The Hof Film Festival is now in its 58th year and has become a hallmark of the city, which is why Hof likes to call itself the “Home of Films,” a phrase that is said to have originated with Wim Wenders. In the late 1960s and 1970s, the Munich film scene came to Hof (...). As a nostalgic reminder, this year there was a 35mm screening of Fassbinder's early work “Gods of the Plague”. Peter Paul Huth reports about the festival.
