Lutheran pastor. From 1994-201, Professor for Protestant Theology - Practical Theology, first at the University of Paderborn and since 2001 at the University of Hamburg. Jazz and rock musician (piano) for 45 years. Since retirement, among other things, voluntary publishing editor and cashier in a jazz club. From 1976 to 2005, he produced every year a video film for university and church based on biblical text ("videodrama"). Since 1996 member of the working group “pop.religion”. About 25 monographs (theological works, spiritual essays, thrillers) and about 20 book editorships; since 1987 repeatedly music releases with different bands.
