Florence de Tienda holds a PhD in Literature from the University of Besançon, worked as a teacher in France (Lyon) and Belgium (Lycée français de Bruxelles) and retired in 2019. She completed internships in the 1970s at Film et Vie, founded in October 1950 by Mady de Tienda, and maintained a lively interest in the art throughout her life. She has been a member of the Pro-Fil group in Lyon since 2021. Pro-Fil - Protestants et Filmophiles - is the successor of Film et Vie and an institutional member of INTERFILM.

Current issues

Land of A Thousand and One Nights and Persian poetry, Iran has turned cinema into the art of suggestion: when speech is monitored, the image becomes a poem and editing a figure of style.
