Melina (Mona Petri) is young and full of illusions. She’s newly in love and ready to take her life in her own hands. Her father (Stefan Gubser) is like a dear and close friend to her, but all of a sudden he confronts her with a terrible demand.
Together they have to face their fears and they find out how much courage is required to let a beloved person go.
Electricity is turned off, boxes are packed, only a cold emergency lighting illuminates the house.
Suffering from cancer the father has decided to die this night. His daughter shall keep him company.
The Swiss film team succeeds in convincingly presenting the difficult issue of euthanasia, moralizing or getting voyeuristic not for a single moment. The spectators are prompted to find a personal, independent position.
