An old couple returns to their village which has been destroyed by the war. Everyday life is composed by recurring activites. He draws water, goes shopping, and repairs the ruined buildings of the farm. She cleans up and prepares the meals. He is getting more and more irritated, she depressive and forgetful. "Immortal" by Iranian director Seyed Hadi Mohaghegh won the Ecumenical Jury Award in Yerevan 2016. The Golden Apricot was awarded to "Ungiven" by Branko Schmidt from Croatia.
In 2015 the festival celebrated its 25th anniversary. A Croatian film won the top award: "Zvizdan" (The High Sun) by Dalibor Matanić. The Ecumenical Jury awarded "Imena višne" (The Ungiven) by Branco Schmidt, also from Croatia.
