Astrid Baar is a pastor in the Protestant Lutheran Church in northern Germany and has worked in parishes in and around Lübeck for 28 years. From her interest in fiction that deals explicitly with Biblical, religious or moral themes, she developed an interest in films based on that kind of literature, as well as for films that examine theology and religion, even if not based on books.
