Polina Kundirenko (*1997, Ukraine) is a film director with a philosophical background, based in Berlin. Her short fiction films have been screened at several German and international film festivals, including Max Ophüls Preis and Dresden FF. She primarily works in fiction, leaning towards magical realism and combining cinematic precision with theatrical grotesque. Polina’s festival path began by supporting the crew of Molodist FF in Kyiv during her philosophy studies. Later she served on ecumenical juries as an INTERFILM representative at Oberhausen (2020, 2023) and Achtung Berlin (2023).
