Gagma napiri
Life creates many obstacles for the twelve-year-old boy Tedo. Tedo belongs to the generation, which was subjected to mass displacement because of the civil war in Abkhazia, one of the most beautiful places in Georgia. The civil war took away everything Tedo had, even hope. The film tells about extraordinary internal conflict of the little boy; his thoughts, feelings, passions, sorrows and efforts to confront the difficulties. (Festival information)
Review by Julie Christensen on KinoKultura - New Russian Cinema
The film maker tells a story of a young refugee in Georgia, ready to do everything to cross the border to search his father in Abkhasia. In this way he hopes to reunify his family. The film shows the broken relationships betwen countries and people. It explains also that reconciliation is possible but that there are always traumas, sorrows, victims when borders are established with violence.
