12 films form Eastern Europe are screened in the competition of the 27th FilmFestival Cottbus. Among them, the Ecumenical Jury chooses its winner. 12 Filme aus osteuropäischen Ländern bilden den Wettbewerb des 27. Filmfestivals Cottbus, aus denen die Ökumenische Jury ihren Preisträger auswählt. Two addtional competition section are dedicated to short films and newcomers. One of the Specials is devoted to films from Belarus. Overall the festival screens nearly 200 films.
