This movie shows with impressive pictures and outstanding performance of actors and actresses the shameful reality of the merciless poverty of Indian Maya people. The film provides us access to the private, economic and religious practices, with special emphasis on the destiny of women. Under almost inhuman conditions, the mother and the daughter keep their dignity, love and solidarity.

Ixcanul (Jayro Bustamante)
Winner of the Grand Prix at Molodist 2015 is the Israeli film "Princess" by Tali Shalom Ezer. The Ecumenical Jury awarded its prize to "Ixcanul" (Volcano) by Jayro Bustamante from Guatemala. The film also was awarded Best Film by the international festival jury in the international full-length competition, ex aequo with "Pikadero" by Ben Sharrock, a Spanish-British coproduction which also won the FIPRESCI award. In the international short film competition the Ecumenical Jury awarded its prize to "À ses enfants la patrie reconaissante" (Our Fallen Heroes, France) by Stéphane Landowski.
