In the art of the Jewish musician Leopold Koslowski, Yale Strom documents the power of Klezmer music. It is able to express grief over the almost complete annihilation of the Jewish people in the Holocaust and to mobilize resistance against fate. In that respect it is a symbol of the Jewish people and their indestructible hope.
