The Man With Hare Ears

Josef is a writer aged sixty who thinks that nothing can surprise him any more. Of course life doesn’t take long to prove him wrong. Josef’s much younger girlfriend tells him she’s pregnant. His best friend tries to commit suicide, and the man with hare ears – Josef’s alter ego from one of his stories – appears before him in everyday situations. Wanting to seize his last chance, Josef decides to marry his pregnant girlfriend. But things aren’t that simple. First he has to sort out a lot of unfinished business that he has been putting off. "The Man with Hare Ears" by Czech director Martin Šulik ist the winner of the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury inb Warsaw 2020. The Warsaw Grand Prix went to "18 Kilohertz" by Farkhat Sharipov from Kazakhstan.
