Daniel Zuta was born in Israel and moved to Germany in 1958. He studied theatre, television and film at the university of Cologne and started as unit manager in feature films, documentaries and commercials. Beginning with “Die Patriotin” (1977-79), he was executive producer in a number of films by Alexander Kluge. In 1984 he founded the Daniel Zuta Filmproduktion and since then works as independent film producer. The Daniel Zuta Film Production which produced more than 45 international features and documentaries is specialised in international co-productions with a focus on helping young filmmakers to realize their first films.

At the Oulu's Children's and Youth International Film Festival 2024 the Church Media Foundation presented its "Look at Me..." Award to Nellie Rajala for her film "The Elf Ring".
Sascha Keilholz, director of the International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg, in his greetings at the Ecumenical Reception reflects the actual political challenges after the US elections and the threats to democracy.
