Christoph Rehmann-Sutter was president of the National Ethics Commission for medicine in Switzerland from 2001 to 2008. Since 2009, he has been a professor of theory and ethics in the bio-sciences at the University of Lübeck’s institute for the history of medicine and scientific research, where he also offers film seminars for medical students. In his publications, he has addressed the subject of the ethics surrounding modern bio-sciences and medicine. His main focus is how ethically relevant aspects of modern life are portrayed on film.

"Little Trouble Girls" by Urška Djukić won the 10th Faith in Film Award at the Tromsø International Film Festival 2026. An Honourable Mention was awarded to "The Little Sister" by Hafsia Herzi.
"Defiant" by director Visa Koiso-Kanttila wins the Prize of the Church Media Foundation in Finland at the International Chidren's and Youth Festival in Oulu 2025.
