Håkan Holmlund has worked for many years in the area of film and church, and has organised several film festivals in churches. Between 1998 and 2005, he did his master’s in theology in Stockholm and Uppsala and has since worked as a clergyman for the Church of Swedish in Stockholm. Before that, he worked as a journalist in Germany for Swedish newspapers, radio, and television.
