Katia Margerie has a postgraduate degree in international economics and finance. She is currently a project manager and functional expert in payments in an international context. A film buff and musician, she has been a member of Pro-Fil since 2002 and hosts film screenings in both protestant and ecumenical settings. She has been a juror for the Prix de cinéma de l’Auditoire in Paris for 8 years.

At the Oulu's Children's and Youth International Film Festival 2024 the Church Media Foundation presented its "Look at Me..." Award to Nellie Rajala for her film "The Elf Ring".
