Pál Gerlai (*1981 ) graduated from the Lutheran University of Theology in Budapest with a degree in theology and pastoral studies, and then completed postgraduate studies in mental hygiene and organisational development at Semmelweis University in Budapest. He is currently a PhD student at the Department of Church History at the Lutheran University of Theology.

“I have been a pastor for 19 years, seven years of which I was the school chaplain of a Lutheran kindergarten, primary and secondary school. Currently I am the pastor and dean of a large minority church and I work as a university chaplain at the University of Miskolc.  I have been fascinated by film dramas since I was a little child. I prefer movies of the 70s and 90s, as well as groundbreaking films and series from all eras. I am a jury member for the first time, which I am looking forward to with great excitement.”
