Pierre Bühler was professor for systematic theology at the university of Neuchâtel (since 1982) and at the university of Zurich (1997-2015). There, he was in charge of the Institute for Hermeneutics and Philosophy of Religions. One of his core themes is the relation between theology and literature, another the relation between image and text which implies an interest in film.
