Walter Chikwendu Ihejirika (*1966) is a Nigerian Catholic priest of the Diocese of Ahiara Mbaise, Imo State.  Studied from 1998 to 2003 in Rome, where he obtained a Doctorate in Social Communication from the Pontifical Gregorian University. His documentary video Still the unknown continent (1998) was aired in the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA, Enugu station). He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Communication Studies at the Federal University of Port Harcourt. As President of SIGNIS-Nigeria and Vice-President of SIGNIS-Africa he successfully organized two editions of the Festival of Catholic Artistes and Entertainers in Nigeria (FESTICATE 2011, 2014). He was a member of the SIGNIS juries at the Zanzibar Film Festival, the Venice Film Festival in 2013 and FESPACO 2015.

"Defiant" by director Visa Koiso-Kanttila wins the Prize of the Church Media Foundation in Finland at the International Chidren's and Youth Festival in Oulu 2025.
The Hof Film Festival is now in its 58th year and has become a hallmark of the city, which is why Hof likes to call itself the “Home of Films,” a phrase that is said to have originated with Wim Wenders. In the late 1960s and 1970s, the Munich film scene came to Hof (...). As a nostalgic reminder, this year there was a 35mm screening of Fassbinder's early work “Gods of the Plague”.
