The film tells how a young man breaks out of a vicious circle of violence and revenge by refusing to accept the traditional values of the people who surround him. In making this decision he accepts responsibility for himself and his family. The film is convincing in its depiction of the young man and his mentally handicapped brother. The protagonist’s process of maturing is sensitively and at the same time recognizably depicted for the viewers.
