Die Reise des jungen Che
Directed by
2003

In 1952, two young Argentines, Alberto Granado and Ernesto Guevara, set off to discover their continent: Latin America. They begin their expedition on an old motorbike, a 1939 vintage Norton 500 nicknamed "la Poderosa" (Power Woman).

What starts out as an adventure gradually takes a different turn. As the two friends come face to face with the social and political realities of the countries they travel through, their perception of the world changes. This experience, at a crucial moment in their lives, fills them with the urge to fight for social justice. (Festival information, Cannes 2004)
