Boyhood

The film tells the story of an American family: Olivia divorces her husband and tries to find a new partner and a new father for her children Mason and Samantha. The new partnership sooner or later is followed by the next separation. For a period of twelve years, from 2002 till 2013, director Richard Linklater has gathered his main actors again and again to observe Mason growing up from a six year old boy to a college student of 18 years. From this concept emerged a document of everyday life in America at the beginning of the 20th century.
