Annet Betsalel (*1956, The Hague) obtained a BA in English, Linguistics and Jewish History at the Bar Ilan University in Israel, followed by documentary training, historical documentary studies and workshop management at the Media Academy in Hilversum. She has a rich experience in educational functions as well as being an (inter-)religious and cultural coordinator of the Jewish community ‘t Gooi (North Holland). She was head of the national Jewish channel in the Netherlands, and representative of the other religious channels. Since 2009 she works as independent filmmaker and is committed to regional interreligious activities, including documentary and festival activities at the regional Film House Bussum; she is the Jewish representative in the organization Judaism, Christianity and Islam of the province North Holland.

At the Oulu's Children's and Youth International Film Festival 2024 the Church Media Foundation presented its "Look at Me..." Award to Nellie Rajala for her film "The Elf Ring".
