Bernie (Bernadette) Meier has been a member of the team at the Cinéclub QTOPIA (www.qtopia.ch) in Uster since 2003. She is currently responsible for programming and organising special screenings. She has participated in several international film festival juries, including the Ecumenical Jury, the Cinema Jury and the Locarno Critics' Week. From 1971 to 1991, Bernie worked as an archivist for various press and television media companies. From 1992 until her retirement in 2015, she headed the archive centre of the Cinémathèque suisse in Zurich.

The Hof Film Festival is now in its 58th year and has become a hallmark of the city, which is why Hof likes to call itself the “Home of Films,” a phrase that is said to have originated with Wim Wenders. In the late 1960s and 1970s, the Munich film scene came to Hof (...). As a nostalgic reminder, this year there was a 35mm screening of Fassbinder's early work “Gods of the Plague”. Peter Paul Huth reports about the festival.
